Women's accessories, like the cherry on the cake.

When one stops to think about women's accessories, the list must be a mile long. Purses, handbags, scarves, shawls, hats, jewelry, make-up, hosiery, gloves, belts, perfume, and the list goes on.

Accessories are just as important, when getting all dolled up, with your long gown, dress, skirt, slacks, jeans, or just about anything you wear.

I couldn’t imagine taking the time getting all dressed up and putting on a pair of hosiery with a run in it, or putting on high heels that are all scuffed up, it would totally ruin the look I am  trying to achieve.

The fashions and styles these days are more casual, jeans with rips in them, in my time one wouldn’t go out in public if there was a tear in the article of clothing you were wearing…….how fashions and styles change.

There certainly are times when one should go all out and get dressed up to the nines.

If I am  invited to a formal dance I know I certainly wouldn’t wear a pair of torn jeans to that event,

I would go and get a long gown, with a shawl or silk scarf, and get matching shoes and handbag, with jewelry that is not over powering. A nice dainty necklace, bracelet and matching earrings will always finish off the look you are trying to achieve.

Why not consider a hat with your outfit, it does add style as well as good taste, there are many different styles of hats made with many different materials, a faux fur hat for going for walks in the winter, or formal hats for those special occasions.

Formal hats will never go out of fashion or style or faux fur for winter walks. Formal hats are usually worn to weddings, funerals or very special formal events.
